• Medico-Legal Reports: The Pain and Trauma Clinic provides medico-legal services in both civil & criminal matters, including:
  • Psychological court reports
  • Work cover reports
  • CTP Claims reports
  • VCT Reports

Some examples of the interventions utilised in the practice are:

• Psycho-education
• Behavioural interventions (behaviour modification, exposure techniques, activity scheduling and relaxation strategies)
• Cognitive interventions (cognitive analysis, challenging and restructuring, self-instruction training and attention regulation)
• Imaginary and in vivo exposure therapy
• Skills training (problem solving, anger management, stress management, communication training, social skills training, parent management training and motivational interviewing)

Fees

The Pain and Trauma Clinic offers a wide range of billing options depending on the client’s circumstances:

Bulk Billing: Medicare rebates are a Government subsidy. Available for clients with a Mental Health Care Plan completed by a general practitioner, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. A valid Mental Health Care plan entitles you for ten sessions each year, divided into six initial sessions, and if needed four subsequent sessions can be requested.

Private Health Fund Rebates: Available for Clients who are not entitled for Medicare rebates. It is a worked out percentage of the premium paid to a registered health insurer for a complying private health insurance policy.(e.g., BUPA, Medibank Private, NRMA, NIB, etc.). Please contact us to find out more about our fees and your eligibility for rebates.

Worker’s Compensation CTP Claims: For Clients who sustained a workplace physical or psychological injury, or have been subjected to a motor vehicle accident and referral to a psychologist has been recommended, treatment sessions will be charged directly to the insurer after receiving approval for the claim. Client need to provide us with claim details and contact details of the insurer.

Private: If you prefer to see one of our Psychologists without a MHCP; an initial session is for $150.00, and $120.00 for all subsequent ones.

Medico-Legal reports: This fee can only be determined by the nature of the report requested. This can be discussed over the phone or in the first session
